I was in a sneaker store in the East Village this weekend, and my friend pointed out this book on the artist Banksy. Banksy is an english artist who's art is generally satirical on topics such as politics, culture and ethics. I'll let Banksy's art speak for itself, but if your in the UK june 13- august 31st, make sure to catch the free exhibit in Bristol.
